The process of dehydration of food is one where we remove the moisture from the food. This ensures that there is no moisture left for bacteria to grow and hence it increases the shelf life of the food.

In our process, you give us your home cooked meal when your family member or you are studying or traveling abroad, where we ensure that we dehydrate the food, pack it and give it to you in a short span of time. When you are abroad and you need to use the dehydrated food, all you have to do is open the food,add hot water and ensure it cools for a short span of time. This ensures that you are able to have home cooked meals anywhere in the world.

The advantage of dehydration of home food is that it reduces the weight of the curry from 1 kg to 250-300 grams. This reduction in weight ensures that the shelf life of the dehydrated food remains intact for 6-8 months and also makes it very easy to carry while traveling! We pack your food in packets as per your requirements, and we also work with our customers to understand their requirements and ensure that our packing is done accordingly. The process is done at room temperature and without adding any chemicals and preservatives. If you are not in Bangalore, then we also home cook the meals for your needs and then dehydrate it.

Process of Dehydration

1. Preparing Food

Fresh or cooked foods are flash frozen, then placed in a vaccum chamber.

2. Circulate Hot & Dry Air

Machines circulate hot and dry air across the food. This removes much of the water.

3. Moisture Removal

The moist air is then dried so that water continues to be removed. The temperatures are high enough to remove water but not high enough to cook the food.

4. Dehydrated food is packed

Dehydrated food is usually withered and harder.
